"I have served in other missions/soup kitchens and the Open Door Mission is the best run that I have seen. The atmosphere is one of love and acceptance. The people being served are treated courteously and with dignity yet there are rules to keep things orderly. The mission helps people with spiritual needs as well as material needs and it helps people advance. The mission could use more room, so I hope Rochester will unite to make sure the mission has the facilities to meet the needs."

Get Plugged In As A Volunteer At Open Door Mission!

Open Door Mission offers many volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups to serve in our nightly soup kitchen at our Samaritan House located 210 West Main Street or weekdays during regular business hours at our Caring Center in our clothing distribution program located at 156 N. Plymouth Avenue.
